Important Info

Our system will send you an activation link to the email used during registration for account activation link. Since it is the first time your server hears from connect@shoplocally.co.nz, there is a chance it will end up in your junkmail. If you don’t receive the activation link within minutes (if not seconds), please check your junkmail/spam folder.

Visit the Registration Page

Click on Become a Vendor or visit the Login/Register page.

Create a Vendor account

Select “I am a vendor” (1)→Complete all fields→Copy your Shop URL (2)→Agree to the T&Cs (3)→Click on Register (4)

Registration Tips;

  • Register with a “commercial” email and preferably using an alias dedicated to e-commerce (i.e. sales@mybusiness.co.nz / shoplocally@mybusiness.co.nz) so your shop displays a professional looking email. This is also a good way to setup a dedicated inbox to receive your online orders and inquiries.
  • Write down your username and password and store it in a safe place.
  • Select a Shop Name which matches the name of your business and once the ShopURL shows your choice as Available (it happens when you move to the phone number field) copy and save your Shop URL (i.e. https://www.shoplocally.co.nz/store/demoshop). You may need this URL during the Stripe account setup.

Activate your account

Our system will send you an activation link to the email used during registration. Click on the activation link to start using the Shoplocally Marketplace as a vendor.

Shop Setup Multi-step Wizard

After your account activation you will be redirected to our Multi-step Wizard. This will take you to a step by step guideline to set up your store easily.

After clicking ‘Let’s Go!’ button, the wizard takes you to the store setup page where you have to provide details about your store. You can set how many products will be displayed in your store. Besides that, you can include your address and other relevant information. In addition, you can define whether you want to display your email address in the store or not. When are you done, click on the Continue button.

Please Note: You can skip this step, but you have to include this information later from you Store Setting page.

Connect with Stripe – Part 1

Shoplocally Marketplace doesn’t hold vendor’s funds and any purchase made from your store will be paid directly into your Stripe account. No Stripe account? Do not worry, this tutorial will show you how to create an account in a few minutes.

Click on Connect with Stripe.

Connect with Stripe – Part 2

If you don’t have a Stripe account please create one now (1). Use your custom Marketplace store URL (i.e. https://www.shoplocally.co.nz/store/demoshop) under Business website (3). Alternatively you may use your own website URL.

If you already have a Stripe account simply Sign in (2) and our system will connect your shop to your Stripe account for direct payments.

Need help creating a Stripe account? The process is really simple but if you are unsure we recommend you try Stripe support team as they will be able to help you with setup for free. Simply click on Get Help Now and you will notice a popup with options to get support via chat (recommended), phone call or email.

You are connected!

After successful connection you will be redirected to your vendor Dashboard confirming you are good to go!
